Special Air Service VAG’s flagship Cessna 172 (PH-HDA) has rolled out of the maintenance hangar with a gleaming new paint job and a total tech upgrade: a full Garmin G1000 NXi glass panel with synthetic vision.
Before putting the upgraded bird back on heavy freight duty, the mechanics demand a 15-minute maintenance proving flight directly over Lelystad Airport (EHLE). Will the new digital screens deliver smooth sailing, or will the virgin flight hit an unexpected snag?
