Netherlands Group Tour - Leg 4: EHEH - EHMZ
We’ve reached Eindhoven during the PAPA HOTEL Virtual Flying Clubs Netherlands Group Tour! Or at least, I hope you did. I’ve experienced a crash during run-up for leg 3 of the tour. We hope you’ve all had a wonderful holliday break. We’ll continue our tour westwards during leg 4 and fly to our next destination: EHMZ Midden-Zeeland.

Description
The plan for leg 3 was to end the live stream at the Eindhovense Aeroclub Motorvliegtuigen. Their club hangar will be the place where we’ll be starting our flight for the 4th leg of the tour. The hangar is located on the north west side of the airfield on taxiway K and can be found on the new VFR charts of Navigraph, marked as Hangar ACB on the VFR AERODROME CHART. If you don’t have a Navigraph subscription, you can find all charts for the Netherlands in the eAIP from Luchverkeersleiding Nederlands. When flying with us on IVAO, it’s recommended to read either the VFR GENERAL AERODROME INFORMATION, available on Navigraph Charts 19-2, 19-3 and 19-4, or the information published in the eAIP carefully.
We’ll depart EHEH Eindhoven Airport via the VFR TANGO Departure to the north west of the airfield. We’ll exit the Eindhoven CTR near the town of Boxtel and follow the motorway A2 north towards the city of Den Bosch. After overflying the historic city center, we follow the Dieze Canal to the river Muese. From here we’ll continue following the river downstream to the west, past the National Park the Biesbosch, to the Hollands Diep, a large body of water where two rivers meet.
At the Hollands Diep you’ll find 2 large bridges, one railroad bridge and one for motorway A16. We’ll follow the motorway heading south to the city of Breda. Near the headquarters of the Royal Netherlands Air Force, available as a scenery at FlightSim.to, we’ll follow motorway A58 to the town of Rucphen we’re we’ll enter the circuit for EHSE Seppe via VPR ZULU. If the weather dictates a runway 06 approach, take care not to overfly the city of Rosendaal to the west to avoid entering the CTR of EHWO Woensdrecht Air Base.
After our visit to Seppe, we’ll exit the area to the north west and follow the river delta to the west. We’re approaching the island of Noord-Beverland (North Beaver Land) and with that our destination for leg 4 of the Netherlands Group Tour.
We’ll approach EHMZ Midden-Zeeland from the north. Take causing: avoid overflying the Veerse Lake below 1000 feet due to high risk of bird strike! After the lake we’ll enter a left hand circuit for runway 27 or a right hand circuit for runway 09. Circuit pattern altitude is 700 feet.
Great tools that can be used during the tour are the Navigraph Charts. They now have all important frequencies used for VFR depicted on the charts. An other great document is the Netherlands Frequency Chart which can be downloaded from the button below.
If you’ve joined us for all legs so far and you’ve made it to Midden-Zeeland, congratulations! You’ve now completed 412 nautical miles and little over 4 hours and 23 minutes of air time. We’ve got ‘only’ 647 NM and 5 hours and 55 minutes of tour left.
Live Stream
‘What happens if I can’t make it?’ Well, don’t you worry! We’ve designed and shared all information so that, if you can’t join us online, you can fly the route yourself. If you do want to take part, but rather not fly online, you can always join us during our live stream. That’s right!
