Netherlands Group Tour - Leg 1: EHLE - EHTW
Wednesday 12 November 2025 will mark the start of our voyage across the Netherlands. We will depart from EHLE Lelystad Airport and fly south west over the Hoge Veluwe National Park towards EHTE Teuge Airport for a stop-over, or just some touch ‘n go’s, your choice, before heading east towards our destination EHTW Twente Airport.

Description
Choose a starting location at EHLE when you launch Microsoft Flight Simulator. We’ll be departing Lelystad Airport via the VFR BRAVO Departure. All information about this departure procedure, information about EHLE and all other airports and procedures we’ll be following during this tour, can be found in the Aeronautical Information Publication from the Luchtverkeersleiding Nederland website.
After reporting BRAVO, a bridge of the highway over a large canal, we’ll turn a heading of 158 degrees straight to the old city of Harderwijk. It’s just a short hop of 4 NM. After you’ve circled over the old fishing town to get a good look, we’ll continue our journey north east along the shoreline of the former Zuider Sea towards the city of Elburg.
After Elburg, we turn south and over fly one of the largest national parks in the Netherlands; the Hoge Veluwe. On the edge of the city of Apeldoorn we can see the royal Palace ‘t Loo. Over fly the city and make sure not to head to far south, as you might be in danger of entering the CTR of EHDL. We wouldn’t want you to be intercepted by a couple of F35 fighters.
Just east of Apeldoorn, we’ll enter the Teuge RMZ via SIERRA and enter a left hand downwind RWY26 or right hand downwind RWY08. If you’ve got time, this is a nice place for a short stop-over to get a cup of coffee for the final part of our flight to Twente. Or you can just do some touch ‘n go’s, your choice all together.
After we’ve taken off from Teuge, we’ll exit the RMZ to the north west and over fly the city of Deventer before following the motorway A1 towards the east. Near the city of Almelo, we’ll find ourselves starting to fly the VFR TANGO Arrival into Twente Airport. Do keep in mind that Twente is an uncontrolled airfield and has only radio information service, so as the pilot in command you’ll have to make your position calls yourself and keep separation of other aircraft in flying into the airfield for landing.
